we had the distinct privilege of hosting an esteemed delegation from Hong Kong for an enriching dialogue on youth empowerment, mental health, resilience, and the Sustainable Development Goals. The delegation, featuring prominent leaders from:

💠Ms. Eureka Tuet, Manager, Corporate Development, The Hong Kong Council of Social Service

💠Mr. Isaac Yeung, Senior Corporate Development Manager, Chinese YMCA of Hong Kong

💠Ms. Ruby Yeung, Chairperson, HKALPS Limited

engaged in insightful discussions on the challenges young people face, especially in mental health and resilience, amidst the rapid social and technological changes in developed countries and cities.

The conversation centered around the urgent need to address youth mental health, a challenge shared globally. We exchanged ideas on how to effectively support young people’s resilience, promote inclusion, and empower them to navigate these complexities. This dialogue reinforced the importance of international collaboration and multi-stakeholder partnerships in creating meaningful, sustainable solutions.

We also explored how the SDGs can be realized at the local level, translating broad global goals into practical, actionable service interventions. It was a powerful reminder of the collective responsibility we share to make youth work a catalyst for sustainable development, using local knowledge and resources to adapt international objectives.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the delegation for sharing beautiful souvenirs from Hong Kong, reflecting their unique culture and commitment to social change. This visit deepened our understanding of the youth challenges in Hong Kong and further solidified the potential for cross-border knowledge exchange.
