Tech4Impact Update: Deliverable D2.1 Skills Landscape Analysis Published – 27/07/2026

The Tech4Impact project has reached another important milestone with the publication of Deliverable D2.1 “Skills Landscape Analysis”, a comprehensive analysis exploring the connection between advanced technologies and the operational realities of the Social Economy.

Developed within the framework of the Erasmus+ Alliances for Innovation project, the report provides a baseline diagnosis across eight European countries, identifying the key skills and challenges that emerge at the intersection between Artificial Intelligence (AI), Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), Deep Tech, and social innovation.

The analysis highlights that while technical learners from Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and Vocational Education and Training (VET) programmes often demonstrate strong coding and engineering skills, there is a need to further develop competences related to understanding user needs, designing sustainable solutions, and considering the broader social and economic context of innovation.

To address these gaps, Deliverable D2.1 identifies four core competency domains that will guide the development of the project’s upcoming learning opportunities:

• Technical Application for Social Good: supporting the context-aware use of technology and promoting digital accessibility.
• Entrepreneurial and Business Literacy: strengthening knowledge of operational budgeting and social business models.
• Social Innovation Awareness: developing skills related to impact assessment, including approaches such as the Theory of Change and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
• Transversal and Soft Skills: enhancing communication, pitching, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to explain complex ideas in an accessible way.

These findings will directly contribute to the development of Tech4Impact’s future curricula, MOOCs, and micro-credentials, coordinated by Vilnius Tech together with the project consortium.

The publication of D2.1 represents a key step towards empowering future professionals with the combination of technological expertise, entrepreneurial understanding, and social awareness needed to create meaningful impact.
